Sojourner|Wayfarer|Data Scientist with a Global Perspective
Hi, I’m Sean — a global storyteller, cultural voyager, and lifelong seeker of the world’s beauty and complexity.
This site is my collection of essays and photographs from the road. Whether I’m deep in a mist-covered forest or wandering through the alleys of an unfamiliar city, I’m always searching for something real—a fleeting feeling, a human connection, a story waiting quietly to be told.
Nature anchors me: the stillness of a mountain trail, the crash of waves on a rocky shore, the hush of a forest at dawn. Yet cities inspire me just as deeply. Their architecture, their rhythm, their pulse—and especially their food. To me, a bowl of soup on a street corner can be as revealing as a cathedral or a museum. Food is memory, history, and culture, all served steaming in the moment.
Alongside writing and photography, I bring another lens to my travels: data science. Numbers, patterns, and hidden structures often reveal surprising insights about the places we visit. A city’s motorbikes, a market’s rhythm, even the colors of its doorways can tell their own story when seen through data. By weaving statistics into narrative, I hope to add depth and texture—inviting you to see both the poetry and the patterns in the world around us.
Through these essays, I share not just the places I’ve been, but how they’ve shaped me—through their landscapes, their streets, their people, their flavors, and sometimes, their numbers.
Thanks for traveling somewhere else with me
